Wondering about how exactly to go about submitting your thoughts to Camp Abilities Insight? This page should give you the answers you're looking for. If you have a question that's not answered here, feel free to submit it to us and we'll put it up on this page for others to learn from. 1. What is an insight? An "insight" is our way of saying a "thought" or a "memory". Camp Abilities Insight is all about sharing your thoughts about Camp Abilities with the rest of the world. So we thought that since the name of the site is "Insight", then we should call thoughts "insights" too. It kind of fits with the theme of the site, or at least we think it does. 2. Where can I find these "insights"? The main menu at the top of the site has links to what we call the "Insight Gallery" - a gallery of all of the "insights", or thoughts, that people have submitted. We can't tell you what the exact menu link is here, because it may change from time to time. 3. This sounds cool. How can I submit an insight? If you want to share your thoughts about Camp Abilities Brockport, you first need to sign in to CA Insight with a valid subscription. A subscription not only lets you share your thoughts, but it also lets you connect and chat with other campers, download exclusive camp photos and videos, and much more. Use the sign in form on the right-hand side of the page to sign in to your account. 4. So what do I do once I've signed in? Nothing. That's right. We've set it up so that immediately after you sign in you'll be taken to a form where you can share your thoughts about Camp Abilities. 5. What does this form consist of and how do I use it? The insight sharing form consists of two sections, one right below the other. The first is where you actually type in your thoughts, and give your page a name. The editing area looks and acts just like Microsoft Word, so if you've used that, or WordPerfect, or some other document editor you should feel right at home with the one we're using here. Plus it's totally compatible with screen readers, and can even be turned off if you wish. Once you've finished typing up your thoughts, you'll have to go down to the section below the editing area and choose a section and a category to place your page in. We recommend that you choose the "Camp Abilities" section and the category that corresponds to insights. Otherwise your page will be moved to this category by one of our administrators. Also in the publishing area you can specify whether your page is published or not. "Publishing" a page just means that people who visit the site can see it. There are also other options as well, such as whether your name should be showon at the top of the page, or a limit to the amount of time that the page is published. I'm all done typing up my thoughts and choosing my publish settings. What do I do now? Now it's time to save your work. You can click on the Save button at the top of the insight sharing page to save what you've done...and that's it! Your page will be sent to one of our admins for approval, and then it will either be published or be set to publish at a certain time, depending on what publish settings you chose. 7. I want to make changes to my thoughts. Is there a way that I can edit them? Yes. Once you've signed in to CA Insight, you'll find an edit button next to the title of the pages you've submitted. Click on that button to be brought to the same editing area where you originally created the pages. This time, everything will be filled in for you, and you can go in and make as many changes as you like. Be sure to hit the Save button when you're finished. 8. Do I have to be a subscriber to read other people's thoughts? No, of course not. You only have to be a subscriber if you want to share your own thoughts, connect and chat with other campers, and more. 9. The editor isn't working with my screen reader or screen magnifier. What can I do to fix this? You can choose to turn off the interactive editor and just use the default one. This can be done from inside either your user profile or the insight sharing page.Note that if you turn off the interactive editor, you won't be able to spice up your thoughts by adding bulleted and numbered lists, pictures, links, videos, etc. 10. I have more questions about insights. Where can I get more help? There are several ways to get help with sharing and managing your insights.
