These are the rules for the Camp Abilities Insight forums. Please be sure to READ THESE RULES CAREFULLY (and fully understand them) before you register or do anything else on this board.

Thank you for stopping by the Camp Abilities Insight forums! We want to make your visit to the forums as pleasant as possible, and to help us do that, we've come up with a few rules we want our members to follow. We expect you to read these rules carefully and abide by them. Failure to abide by these rules will result in the banning (suspension) of your account, or, if you're not a member (posting as a guest), the blocking of your IP address from our site. If you continue to fail to abide by these rules, further action (described below) will be taken.

1. Creating a positive environment

We want the Camp Abilities Insight forums (and all other Camp Abilities Insight sites and services) to be as pleasant and positive as possible. Therefore, to keep the forum environment positive, you are prohibited from doing the following things (don't do these at alll on the forums):

1. Flaming: To "flame" means to insult another member of the forum through the posting of topics or replies. Not many people want to post at a site where they'll constantly be insulted and put down for what they've posted. This is why we do not allow flaming on the Camp Abilities Insight forum.

2. Racism: Not many people want to post at a site where they'll be insulted or hated because of their race, religion, or culture. This is why we do not allow the posting of racist remarks or other racist content of any type.

3. Swearing: Yeah, we know this doesn't bother some people, but some of our younger members could be offended by it. So, even though this may not bother you, we still prohibit you from swearing in your posts. Please keep this positive environment "G-rated".

4. Having a negative attidue: Members who don't flame, post racist comments, or swear can nevertheless have an ill effect on the Camp Abilities Insight community. Someone who constantly posts negative opinions about the site or other members without any constructive criticism is creating an unfriendly atmosphere. Please keep the atmosphere/environment of the CAInsight forums as friendly and positive as possible at all costs.

2. Offending other members

Offending other members is not allowed. Most of the things we mentioned above in section 1 fall into the category of being "offensive", but here are some more specific things. We know people will slip up at times, so we try to limit or prohibit as much fo the following as we can.

1. Degrading comments: NO ONE, NO MATTER WHO THEY ARE, likes to be called fat, stupid, smelly, retarded, dumb, or anything else degrading. Please refrain from such degrading comments.

2. Racism: Yeah, we know this appeared above too, but we just have to mention it here as well. We're not sure how you can accidently slip and call somebody a racial slur, but nevertheless we suggest you refrain from them. There's no situation where somebody can be nicely put down because of skin color, culture, or religion.

3. Swearing: Most people aren't bothered by swearing, but we know that by not using inappropriate language you appear more mature. Slips do occur, though, particularly when someone is frustrated or angry, so we've decided to ban all "serious" words and allow the more minor ones, as long as they aren't used excessively.

3. Privacy and security

Please do not give out any personal information such as your phone number, postal address, ZIP code, last name, or anything you do not wish others to know when posting on this forum. If you choose to ignore this request, we cannot be held responsible for the consequences. Fields which require personal information (such as your name, age, gender, etc.) are optional upon registration. This means that you do not need to fill these fields out to become a member of the CAInsight forums. The only required fields are your username, password, e-mail address, and your existing Camp Abilities Insight subscription information.

WE DO NOT ALLOW POSTING OR DISPLAYING OF PORNOGRAPHIC MATERIAL, OR LINKS POINTING TO OR FRAMES DISPLAYING SUCH MATERIAL. ANY POST FOUND TO BE SPORTING SUCH MATERIAL WILL BE IMMEDIATELY REMOVED, AND THE MEMBER WHO POSTED THE TOPIC CONTAINING THE PORNOGRAPHIC MATERIAL WILL BE IMMEDIATELY DELETED FROM THIS FORUM. Please respect and abide by these rules. After al, there are plenty of other sites on the Web these days that let you post that kind of material, so don't do it here, out of respect for your fellow members and for the younger generation of visitors that come to the CAInsight forum.

Please know that your privacy is very important to us; we will never sell, rent, share, lease, give, or otherwise license your e-mail address to anyone without first asking for your permission. If you get "spam" e-mails from a member (this can occur if you checked the appropriate boxes in your User Control Panel) please report the e-mail address to the admin or to a moderator so we can investigate.

Please note that no e-mail you receive from the Camp Abilities Insight forum goes unsolicited. When you login to your User Control Panel, you can opt to receive administrator mailings or not. If you ever complain about getting these e-mails, it will be ignored. The User Control Panel clearly states you can deny getting mail from us. Any threat of legal action will not be taken seriously, as the forum emailings do not get sent to you unless you permit it.

4. Moderators and administrators

We use moderators and administrators to govern and monitor the Camp Abilities Insight forums.

Moderators are members who have higher privileges and who are given the task of monitoring the forums for rule-breaking topics. Each time they come across a topic or a member that is violating one of the forum rules, the moderator has the power to ban the member or delete their account, as well as to delete or edit the rule-breaking topic. Moderators CAN NOT edit members' accounts or gain access to members' personal information.

Administrators, unlike moderators, have complete control over the forums. They can add new forums and categories, ban or remove members, edit member information, and make other site-wide changes. Even though administrators have access to complete member profiles, they WILL NOT use their power to look at personal information or any other, private part of a member's account.

Both moderators and administrators are here to help you out. If you have a question or are having a problem, just send a PM (private message) to a moderator or an admin (short for administrator), or send an e-mail to a moderator or admin. We will be happy to help you with whatever you need. You can also contact the moderators or administrators if you want to report abuse of any kind that you see going on in the forums.
